Guesthouse Information
- Guests: Ubuntu Guesthouse is an adults-only accommodation.
- Check-in: from 2:00 PM
- Check-out: by 11:00 AM.
- Room Cleaning: daily until 12:00 PM. Please use the door sign if you do not want your room to be cleaned. After 12:00 PM, cleaning may not be possible.
- Towels: please place used towels that should be changed on the floor.
- Bed Linen: changed once a week, unless requested otherwise.
- Breakfast: buffet from 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM.
- Pool, Sauna & Steam Room: Pool open daily from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM. Sauna and Steam is coming soon.
- Wellness Amenities: towels, bathrobes, and slippers are provided.
- Quiet Hours: please be considerate after 10:00 PM as many guests enjoy a peaceful night.
- Drinking Water: filtered water is available throughout the guesthouse. In the dining area, a special tap allows you to enjoy filtered water chilled, sparkling, still, or regular, without carrying bottles.
- Electricity: thanks to our solar system, we are generally unaffected by South Africa's scheduled power outages (load shedding).
- Private Driver: excursions or airport transfers can be arranged with our driver (contact at reception).
- Wi‑Fi: login details are provided at reception.
- Sockets: The 120-volt socket with the middle hole is for a razor. The 230-volt socket with the middle hole is for a hair dryer.
Pool Use
Please note: The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard.
- Use is at your own risk.
- Ubuntu Guesthouse accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, or damage related to pool use.
Safety Information
We do not intend to alarm you, but please take note of the following precautions:
- Ensure the gate closes immediately when entering or leaving the property.
- Use ATMs in banks or shopping centers. Avoid withdrawing cash after 4:00 PM.
- After 10:00 PM, travel in groups or by Uber for your safety.
- Please do not give money to begging children, as it may support harmful practices. Food or drinks are fine.
- Carry small change discreetly rather than taking your wallet out visibly.
